It seems to me that blogging is about as useful a way of passing the time as tossing pebbles into the sea, so for what it's worth - and that's not a lot - here are a few pebbles.

More of Florence
The cathedral is really a bit over the top, too ornate and rich in detail for my taste.
The church of San Lorenzo is much more to my liking.
You will notice that there wasn't a lot of sunshine that day.
