Every now and then my friend Skip says that Blogger has played a trick on him, perhaps by not displaying a picture he has uploaded or by not updating something that should have been. Up till now, I have suffered none of those problems but now I've been blogged as well. With a few minutes to spare yesterday, I tried to schedule a posting for next Saturday. Saturday postings have, for the past few months, been devoted to travelling around the counties of England, a trip which we are still less than a third of the way through, and all those blogs have been uploaded in advance with no problems. As next Saturday is Christmas Day I decided to skip the scenic Saturday and schedule a Christmas post. But Blogger kept insisting on posting it straight away. I'll just have to try again later.

Problem solved. It was me typing a . instead of a : Mea culpa again.
