It seems to me that blogging is about as useful a way of passing the time as tossing pebbles into the sea, so for what it's worth - and that's not a lot - here are a few pebbles.

Photoshop Elements
I've just bought the software and, having been using a very old version of Paintshop Pro, I find that I am faced with a very steep learning curve. Perhaps I should also buy a book of instructions!
Just be happy you don't have the full version of Photoshop.
A user guide came with my software [version 1.01]. There are over 280 pags. It is of some help, as are the help menu and tutorials. You are correct that it is a steep learning curve. I will probably not use all of the bells and whistles available, but the ones I have used are well worth having the program.
