It seems to me that blogging is about as useful a way of passing the time as tossing pebbles into the sea, so for what it's worth - and that's not a lot - here are a few pebbles.

A longish job
It's the time of year when the Old Bat and I plan our strategy for next summer (and spring and autumn as well). We sit down and decide what rates to charge to rent our French holiday home and just where we will advertise. Once the rates have been fixed, I have to produce two new pages for our web site, and that is the longish job. It's not boring work, but it is repetitious and certainly does require a degree of concentration. We have found that more and more of our guests like to pay by credit or debit card, so we have the facility on our web site for them to use PayPal. This means that I have to produce a page with a table covering each week of the year linking to a shopping facility on PayPal - twice. There is one page for booking and paying the deposit and a second page for paying the balance. Oh well, best get on with it.

Or creating calendars! Which reminds me - I'm supposed to be sorting pictures for our 2011 kitchen calendar.
