Independence Day

Being typically parochially English, I had completely overlooked that today is the fourth of July and failed to write a post on that theme.  To put matters right - at least partially - I'm going to simply point you to someone else's blog where he has written on that theme.  Please do have a look at A Bit About Britain.

I would venture that only about one in five Americans know it as Independence Day.
The rest call it the Fouth of July and only remember it is a holiday, not necessarily what we celebrate.

Well, thanks for the point in my direction - I look forward to being inundated with comments from grateful Americans who are pleased someone remembered their birthday! Glad you found the view of Seven Sisters from Seaford Head at last! Best regards.
