It seems to me that blogging is about as useful a way of passing the time as tossing pebbles into the sea, so for what it's worth - and that's not a lot - here are a few pebbles.

Monday again
And so another week starts. It was a good weekend, with my daughter arriving late Saturday evening and staying overnight. She left to go back to Birmingham after we had all stuffed ourselves silly with a late lunch/early dinner at my elder son's: roast lamb, roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, broccoli, cauliflower, swede, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, Yorkshire pudding followed by key lime pie, banoffi cheesecake and strawberry trifle. Now I have another list of jobs to be done: refuel the car (which has 25 miles left in the tank according to the on-board computer), place an ad in the local paper for the Lions' book fair next Saturday, pick up some hearing aids that have been collected for the Lions, and I really would like to get down to writing some notes for incoming presidents of the Lions Club. No doubt She Who Must Be Obeyed will manage to add to that (very short) list before too much longer.
