Later

Before anyone tells me, I know I should have written 'libel' and not 'slander'. The trouble is that I always feel I am talking to somebody when I type my blogs, so 'slander' seemed appropriate! Anyway, he wasn't at the meeting, which went off very amicably.

    My understanding is that if what is being reported is true, it is neither slander or libel.

    I doubt that would deter him from suing.
