It seems to me that blogging is about as useful a way of passing the time as tossing pebbles into the sea, so for what it's worth - and that's not a lot - here are a few pebbles.

Railway blues
OK, so it doesn't have quite the same romance as the Southern Pacific, but London to Brighton in three and a half minutes is pretty quick.
Romance is a stretch. Intrigue is more like it. Though I do suppose that as a four year old it was more like romance.
